Happy New Year Funkydooers,

Well, Funkydoo has been away on holiday for a while, so we apologise for a lack of mixes of late. However, as DJ Smalley is sitting around waiting for New Years Eve's beer o'clock to arrive, he decided to waste away a few afternoon hours with a trip down memory lane.

So, here we've gone back to the year 1999 when the Longsbar sunday club party DeephaasFunk was in full flow. Back then we had some of the deep house scene's pioneering producers and DJS coming down to swindon on a weekly basis to play to an often packed sunday afternoon crowd who were not adverse to dancing on a table or two after a few sunday ales.

We had the likes of Elliot Eastwick and Miles Hollway, Jon Cutler, Mr C, Attaboy, Faze Action, Crispin J Glover and Deep Swing, amongst many others gracing the little longsbar booth back then and I think most that attended the deephaasfunk sunday parties will agree that they were pretty good fun.

So, if you're getting ready to go out on a big NYE night, or if it's now the dreaded morning after and you need some mind caressing tunes to listen to, here you go with a full 90 minute mix of ten year old deep soulful house classics whipped up by Funkydoo's DJ Smalley.
